Adebutu Criticizes Abiodun Over Awujale Selection Delay

On Wednesday, Oladipupo Adebutu, the 2027 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, challenged Governor Dapo Abiodun regarding a seven-month delay in selecting a new Awujale of Ijebuland. Adebutu questioned whether it would take another 20 years to fill the vacant stool of the paramount ruler, criticizing the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly causing hardship in the state.

He urged residents to reject the APC in the upcoming elections and support the PDP to bring about change. During a campaign event in Ijebu Ode, Adebutu expressed concerns over the delays in appointing other traditional rulers, suggesting that certain individuals in power were obstructing the process.

He encouraged voters to defend their votes and introduced Wale Ogunbanjo and Engr. Femi Omotayo as candidates for the Ijebu North East/Odogbolu/Ijebu Ode Federal Constituency and Ogun East senatorial district, respectively.
