Adeleke Launches Health Insurance for Osun Monarchs

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has approved a health insurance scheme specifically for traditional rulers and their spouses. This initiative is part of the Osun Health Insurance Agency's efforts to ensure that residents have access to affordable and quality healthcare services, irrespective of their social status or background.

Ohi Rasaq Akindel, the Executive Secretary of the agency, disclosed that arrangements for the enrollment of traditional rulers across the state have already commenced. The agency plans to visit the palaces of traditional rulers starting Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to facilitate the registration process, which is expected to take place over the following two weeks.

Akindel emphasized that this gesture aims to strengthen healthcare access for royal families while acknowledging their significant contributions to peace and unity in the development of Osun State. The agency has implemented necessary measures to ensure a seamless enrollment process.
