Adeleke Camp Rejects APC Candidate's Endorsement

The Imole Campaign Council dismissed the endorsement of Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, by Christopher Imumolen, whom they described as a factional leader of the Accord Party. The council stated that the officially recognized National Chairman of Accord, Maxwell Mgbudem, is committed to the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

This statement was made by Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council. Imumolen had claimed at a rally that the Accord Party had withdrawn its support for Adeleke, directing members to vote for Oyebamiji.

The Imole Campaign Council accused the APC of misrepresenting Imumolen as the party's national chairman and insisted that Mgbudem, recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), supports Adeleke's re-election. The council urged voters to disregard the misleading narrative from the opposition.
