Adeleke Campaign Alleges Banishment of Accord Party Supporter

The campaign of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed alarm regarding the alleged banishment of Adeola Adegoke, an Accord Party supporter, from Ilase in the Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State. Human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi reported on Facebook that Adegoke's shop was looted, and she and her mother were summoned and ordered to leave the community unless she agreed to support Senator Fadahunsi and Wole Oke politically.

Adegoke reportedly consented to support Fadahunsi but refused to campaign for Wole Oke, leading to her alleged expulsion from Ilase. Olajengbesi condemned these actions as unacceptable in a democratic society, emphasizing that political differences should not result in intimidation or deprivation of livelihood.

He called on Fadahunsi and Oke to respond to the allegations, urging them to ensure that their names are not misused for such actions. The allegations remain unverified, and it is unclear if Fadahunsi or Oke have addressed the claims.
