Adeleke Commissions Dualised Akoda-Oke Gada Road

On Tuesday, Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, commissioned the newly dualised Akoda–Baptist High School–Oke Gada Road, a 9-kilometre project executed by his administration. The governor highlighted the installation of solar lighting along the road to enhance nightlife and security.

He described the project as part of his administration’s infrastructure renewal agenda across Osun State, emphasizing its strategic importance for Ede by linking residential areas, schools, and markets while connecting to major roads leading to Osogbo and Ibadan. The project, awarded in November 2023, was completed in December 2024 and consists of two phases: Phase 1 (5.4km) from Akoda to Baptist High School, contracted to Messrs Great Enyork Technology Ltd, and Phase 2 (3.6km) from Baptist High School to Oke Gada, awarded to Messrs Engineec Integrated Engineering Ltd.

The dual carriageway features a 9.3-metre width, 1.5-metre walkways, and solar-powered streetlights. Engr.
