Adeleke Launches 3.5km Dual Carriageway in Ila-Orangun

On Friday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke unveiled the first phase of the 3.5-kilometre dual carriageway in Ila-Orangun, stating that the project will significantly boost socio-economic development in the area. In a statement from his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke described the dual carriageway as essential infrastructure that will enhance commerce, mobility, and safety for residents.

He noted that the road would facilitate investment, improve the movement of farm produce, and provide better access to schools, hospitals, and the palace. The governor highlighted that this project reflects his administration's commitment to spreading development across all parts of the state, particularly in rural communities.

Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr Tokunbo Salam, confirmed that the first phase was completed within the 12-month timeline set by the governor. The Director of Research and Planning in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Olalekan Salami, mentioned that a total of 10 kilometres of dual carriageway is planned to be executed in three phases.
