Adeleke Extends UNIOSUN VC Prof. Adebooye's Tenure

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has approved a two-year extension of Prof. Clement Adebooye's tenure as Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University (UNIOSUN). This announcement was made on Monday during the inauguration of the reconstituted Governing Council at the Osun State Government House in Osogbo.

Initially, Adebooye declined the extension but later accepted it. Governor Adeleke stated that the extension was in the university's interest to strengthen governance and prevent administrative disruption.

The reconstituted council retained Prof. Adewale Oladipo as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, citing his experience. Other council members include Alhaji Gbadegesin Lawal, Alhaji Lateef Olalekan Olayanju, Mr. Akinola Franklin Omoniyi, Chief Funminiyi Awotide, Mr. Orija Samuel Adebayo, Mrs. Adewale Adetayo Bola, and Mrs. Olawale Oludayo Abolade.

Adeleke urged the council to work harmoniously with the Vice-Chancellor and emphasized the importance of mutual respect. Prof. Oladipo expressed gratitude for his retention and pledged to build on previous achievements.
