Adeleke's Re-election Validates Trust in His Leadership

Ademola Adeleke was declared re-elected as the Governor of Osun State after winning the governorship election held on Saturday, where he secured 19 out of 30 local government areas. The State Returning Officer, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, announced the results at approximately 7:24 am on Sunday, with Adeleke receiving a total of 511,067 votes.

Diran Odeyemi, the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), described the victory as a confirmation of the people's trust in Adeleke's administration, noting that the election was largely peaceful and transparent despite prior tensions. Odeyemi commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for their professionalism, which he believed enhanced public confidence in the electoral process.

He also praised party members and stakeholders for their mobilization efforts and urged Adeleke to view his re-election as a mandate to improve infrastructure, workers’ welfare, youth empowerment, and economic development in Osun State.
