FUT Minna VC Raises Concerns Over High Electricity Bills Impacting University Funds

Prof. Faruk Kuta, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUT Minna), expressed concerns about the financial strain caused by high electricity bills from the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).

During a press conference held as part of the university's 34th convocation ceremony, Prof. Kuta disclosed that the university spends a significant amount on electricity bills, impacting funds available for development projects.

He emphasized the need to tackle transportation challenges on campus to improve the experience for teachers and students. Additionally, Prof.

Kuta highlighted FUT Minna's achievements, including securing a N1 billion grant from TETFund for an agricultural farm and attracting global research grants in 2025.
