Mene Honored for Driving Africa's Industrial Growth

Mene was honored for his distinguished public service role in driving Africa's trade and industrial growth at an award ceremony held in Abuja. The award was presented by Mr.

Sand Mba Kalu, founder of the International Trade Research Centre, in recognition of Mene's contributions to advancing the continent's economic transformation agenda through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Mene expressed gratitude for the honor, describing public service as a privilege and reaffirming his commitment to Africa's integration over the past 25 years.

He highlighted the importance of the AfCFTA in creating economic opportunities and transforming Africa's trade landscape. The event also noted the adoption of the AfCFTA protocol on intellectual property rights, which serves as a legal instrument to support the agreement.
