Afenifere Commends Police and Governors for Security Efforts

On Tuesday, Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, commended Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for their decisive actions against the surge in kidnapping and banditry along the notorious Sagamu-Ore road corridor. A letter issued by Afenifere's leader, Reuben Fasoranti, and signed by the organization's secretary, Kole Omololu, praised the security chiefs for restoring confidence and coordinating significant security operations that have curtailed criminal activities in the area.

Afenifere expressed displeasure over the rising cases of kidnapping and terror attacks in Yoruba land, noting that such incidents occur almost daily across various states. The organization reaffirmed its support for ongoing security operations and emphasized that there should be no safe haven for kidnappers and violent criminals in Yoruba land.
