Abiodun Lauds IGP for Ogun-Lagos Security Initiative

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State commended the Inspector General of Police, Ola, for the joint security initiative named Operation Kosaye, which targets criminal elements in Ogun and Lagos States. The operation, described as bold and proactive, aims to eliminate crime along the Ogun-Lagos corridor.

Abiodun noted that Operation Kosaye has successfully coordinated security efforts, resulting in the neutralization of armed bandits, the arrest of several criminal suspects, and the rescue of kidnap victims. He emphasized the importance of restoring public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force and highlighted the commitment of the Ogun State administration to support security agencies through logistical and technological investments.

Abiodun urged other states to emulate the Ogun-Lagos security model to effectively tackle emerging security threats. He acknowledged the professionalism and dedication of the police officers involved in the operation, including Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojaijuni and Lagos State Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai.
