Ogun Governor Commends Police for Operation Kosay Success

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun praised Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu for initiating a joint security operation named Operation Kosay, which aims to improve security across Ogun and Lagos states. This proactive, intelligence-driven initiative has significantly strengthened security in the region.

Governor Abiodun noted that the operation has successfully coordinated security efforts to combat criminal hideouts in the forests along the Ogun-Lagos corridor, resulting in the neutralization of armed bandits, the arrest of 88 criminal suspects, and the rescue of five kidnap victims. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and intelligence sharing between the police forces of both states to tackle emerging security threats.

Abiodun reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting security agencies with logistics, technological resources, and investments in security infrastructure. The operation was launched at the Police Training School in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, with the participation of police commissioners from both states.
