Court Reinstates Agada-led APC Executive in Benue State

The Makurdi Division of the Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal regarding the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, reinstating the Augustin Agada-led executive committee. The court upheld a prior judgment from the Makurdi High Court, which had declared the dissolution of Agada's committee by the Benjamin Omal-led caretaker committee as unlawful and invalid.

Justice T. Kume delivered the judgment, addressing five issues raised by the appellant's counsel, S.D.

Swem, who adopted arguments from M.T. Alyebo, representing Hon.

Augustin Agada and eight others. The court affirmed that actions taken by the Omal-led committee were null and void.

Following the ruling, Hon. Augustin Agada expressed confidence in the judiciary's ability to uphold justice and called on party members to remain calm and united, reinforcing the legitimacy of his leadership within the APC in Benue State.
