Appeal Court Affirms Agada-led APC in Benue State

The Appeal Court in Makurdi upheld the Benue State High Court's ruling that nullified the dissolution of the Augustin Agada-led executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The court dismissed the appeal numbered CA/MKD/119/2024 filed by the APC against the earlier judgment delivered by Justice T.

Kume. The court ruled on five issues raised in the appeal, all resolved in favor of Agada and his committee.

Consequently, the court declared the actions taken by the caretaker committee led by Benjamin Omal as null and void, having no legal effect. Agada expressed confidence in the judiciary's ability to dispense justice and urged party members to remain calm and united.

The ruling reinforces the legitimacy of the Agada-led APC state executive committee while invalidating the earlier constitution of the caretaker committee.
