AIG Orders Probe into Fire Incident at Mopol 13 Facility in Benue State

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zacharia Achinyan, has ordered an investigation into a fire that destroyed the Mopol 13 facility in Benue State. The incident, which gutted the police mobil force facility, occurred in the early hours of Sunday.

A statement from the Makurdi Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Ayo Oluwaseun, revealed that the AIG expressed deep concern and directed a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak. Security arrangements have been reinforced to maintain calm in the area.
