Air Force War College Offers Free Medical Services in Benue

The Air Force War College (AFWC) in Makurdi organized a medical outreach that offered free medical services to around 200 residents of Tyomu Community in the Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State. This initiative was part of the college's 10th Anniversary celebrations and was conducted in collaboration with the 161 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.

Air Vice Marshal Gambo Mmbaka, the Commandant of the college, stated that the outreach included blood pressure and blood sugar checks, eye screenings, provision of eyeglasses, and other medical services. He emphasized the importance of extending the anniversary celebrations to the communities that have supported the college.

Air Commodore Daniel Akpan, the Commander of the 161 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, noted that beneficiaries needing further medical attention would be referred to the hospital for appropriate treatment. Mr. Joseph Keffi, the Chairman of Makurdi Local Government Area, represented by his deputy, Mr. Maxwell Adoor, congratulated the college on its decade of service, while the Village Head of Tyomu, Mr. Joseph Nongu, expressed gratitude for the initiative.
