Air Tanzania Launches Direct Flights to Lagos, Boosting Trade and Tourism

Air Tanzania has launched direct flight services between Dar es Salaam and Lagos, partnering with Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) for ground operations at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The new route will operate three times a week, enhancing connectivity, trade, and tourism between Tanzania and Nigeria.

The inaugural ceremony in Lagos was attended by top government officials and aviation stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of the service in advancing the African Union's Agenda 2063 and the Single African Air Transport Market. The Tanzanian Ambassador to Nigeria described the flight as a bridge connecting the two largest economies in Africa, while the Nigerian Minister of Aviation highlighted the route's potential to deepen bilateral relations.
