Federal Gov’t Presents Operation Permit To Air Tanzania

The Federal Government of Nigeria presented a Foreign Carrier Operation Permit (FCOP) to Air Tanzania Company Limited, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and safety in the aviation sector. The initiative seeks to standardize procedures and ensure seamless interaction between Nigeria and Tanzania, aligning with international best practices.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, expressed confidence that the FCOP would promote aviation cooperation and excellence.

The United Republic of Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria, Selestine Gervas Kakele, thanked the Nigerian government for cooperation and readiness to collaborate, emphasizing the importance of regional connectivity. Air Tanzania is set to commence scheduled direct flights between Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Lagos, Nigeria, following the completion of regulatory requirements by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
