Aiyedatiwa to Distribute 1,800 Bags of Rice to Vulnerable

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is set to distribute 1,800 bags of rice and other relief items to vulnerable groups, including widows, persons with disabilities, and women, under the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Programme of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Dr Seun Osamaye, the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, announced this during a media briefing in Akure on Monday.

The initiative is part of two empowerment programmes approved by Governor Aiyedatiwa, aimed at alleviating the economic pressures faced by many households. The first programme focuses on food outreach and empowerment for vulnerable groups, while the second, known as the Project 774 Explode Initiative, aims to educate and empower women on gender equality and representation in governance.

Osamaye emphasized the government's commitment to improving the living conditions of vulnerable citizens and promoting social inclusion through these targeted interventions.
