Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa Launches Social Welfare Roadmap

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa unveiled a comprehensive roadmap to enhance social welfare programs, particularly targeting women's empowerment and child protection. This announcement occurred during a women’s roundtable discussion held at the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development auditorium in Akure.

The event, themed "O Datiwa Women Initiative," aimed to assess the progress made so far and identify gaps in existing programs. Dr.

Seun Bosed Osamay, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, emphasized the ministry's commitment to improving the lives of women, children, and vulnerable groups. The governor approved the renovation of the ministry's headquarters for the first time in 28 years to create a conducive working environment.

The roundtable also featured discussions on various initiatives, including skills training for women and programs for the elderly and vulnerable groups. Stakeholders were encouraged to strengthen partnerships to tackle challenges faced by women and children in the state.
