Rasheedat Ajibade Enhances Health Education for Female Footballers

Rasheedat Ajibade, captain of the Nigerian women's national football team, is spearheading health education initiatives for grassroots female footballers through the Rash Hygiene Hub, a project of the Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation. The initiative has successfully completed three phases in Lagos, providing over 600 female footballers from various clubs with hygiene kits and health education focused on their wellbeing on and off the pitch.

The latest outreach occurred at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana-Ipaja, covering topics such as nutrition, mental health, personal hygiene, first aid, and CPR, with practical demonstrations led by resource persons from the Nigeria Red Cross Society. Ajibade emphasized the initiative's importance in addressing the challenges faced by grassroots female footballers, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.

The foundation aims to expand the project nationally, following a structured seven-step method to ensure effective implementation and impact tracking.
