Akande Criticizes Gbajabiamila Over Alleged Fake Agency

Laolu Akande, a spokesperson for a former president, publicly criticized Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, over allegations of a "fake" presidential agency that purportedly failed to address critical security issues in Nigeria. Akande pointed out that the agency was included in the federal budget and had an office in the federal secretariat, yet no public official had been sanctioned for the matter, which had been known since October of the previous year.

He expressed concern that the government appeared unaware of terrorist identities and was ineffective in stopping their activities. Akande also mentioned that Femi Falana, a senior lawyer, was reportedly pursuing legal action related to the agency and advised Gbajabiamila to take the matter seriously.

Furthermore, he criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for surrounding himself with ineffective officials, emphasizing the ongoing security challenges in the country.
