Alia's 2027 Ambitions Unhindered by Akume's Influence

Livinu Adzer Tsar, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a candidate for the Jechira Federal Constituency, asserted that George Akume's influence within the APC will not impede Hyacinth Alia's pursuit of the governorship in the 2027 elections. Tsar responded to media reports about political realignments involving Alia and Akume, emphasizing that grassroots support and popular engagement will ultimately determine political outcomes in Benue State.

He noted that President Bola Tinubu understands the realities of democratic politics and will not support moves that aim to overturn the wishes of party members. Tsar highlighted Alia's achievements, including the construction of 1,200 kilometers of roads and youth empowerment initiatives, as evidence of his effective governance.

He also mentioned the establishment of the Benue State Homeland Security Department to address security challenges, indicating a collaborative approach with military and intelligence agencies to improve safety in the region.
