Tinubu Government Launches Initiative to Support Girls' Education

The Federal Government has launched the "Flow with Confidence 2.0: Keeping Every Girl in School" initiative, aimed at improving girls' education in Nigeria. The initiative was flagged off by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It involves the distribution of two million packs of sanitary towels and learning materials to girls in public basic education schools across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Minister of Education Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa emphasized the importance of investing in children's education and welfare for national development.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing education under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Senator Tinubu highlighted the need for transparency in the program's implementation and called for community support to eliminate the stigma around menstruation.
Additionally, the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) plans to provide scholarships to 100,000 learners through its Learners Retention Support Programme.
