Fermin Aldeguer Joins Valentino Rossi's VR46 Team

Fermin Aldeguer, a 21-year-old Spanish rider, has signed a two-year contract with Valentino Rossi's VR46 team for the upcoming MotoGP seasons. Currently racing for the Gresini team, Aldeguer has had a mixed second season, having missed winter pre-season testing due to a fractured left femur.

In his rookie year in 2025, he secured a victory in Indonesia and achieved two additional podium finishes in Austria and France. This season, he has managed only one podium, finishing second in Catalonia, and has been absent from the last three races.

Aldeguer will ride an official Desmosedici, similar to the factory Ducati team riders, Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta. Gigi Dall’Igna, general manager of Ducati Corse, praised Aldeguer's extraordinary talent and potential for growth, stating that Ducati is committed to investing in his future.

The identity of Aldeguer's future teammate is not yet confirmed, but it is anticipated to be Nicolo Bulega, who is currently leading the Superbike championship.
