Court Grants Justice Crack N5m Bail in Cybercrime Case

Justice Chidieber Mark, popularly known as Justice Crack, was granted bail of N5 million by the Federal High Court in Abuja on a three-count charge of alleged cybercrime. Justice Joyc Abdulmalik presided over the case, where Mark was accused of making false claims about Nigerian military personnel in a viral video.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court ordered that he be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) pending the filing of his bail application.
The bail conditions include providing sureties who must reside within the court's jurisdiction, have a fixed address for at least four years, and be federal civil servants not below grade level 15. The prosecution indicated readiness to commence the trial, with the first witness, Uruntu Dougla, a DSS operative, testifying about Mark's voluntary statement during the investigation.
The case was adjourned to May 25 for further proceedings.
