Sowore Reveals Beer Offer from Amaechi After NBA Clash

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2027 elections, disclosed that Rotimi Amaechi, the vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former governor of Rivers State, offered him a beer following a confrontation at the Nigerian Bar Association conference. Sowore recounted that after their disagreement over governance, Amaechi invited him to his house for a drink, which Sowore humorously declined, suggesting he feared being poisoned.

During the conference, Sowore criticized Amaechi's tenure as governor and his role as Minister of Transportation, specifically mentioning a rail line that he claimed was ineffective. In response, Amaechi defended his record, citing infrastructure projects completed during his administration.

The exchange became contentious when Amaechi told Sowore to be quiet during the discussion. Sowore maintained that his activism provided him with leadership experience, despite lacking prior elective office.
