Ameerah Legacy Foundation Launches with Awards and Health Care

On July 24, 2026, Ameerah Legacy Foundation launched its inaugural community outreach event at Community High School in Surulere, Lagos. The event recognized outstanding students from Community High School and Lagos Progressive Secondary School through Academic Excellence Awards and provided free health checks to over 200 students, parents, and teachers.

The foundation, named after the founder’s daughter, aims to invest in children, women, and families, emphasizing that education and health are vital for community development. The health screenings included tests for hepatitis, tuberculosis, blood pressure, blood sugar, diabetes, and stress levels, with free medication provided as needed.

Organizers noted the emotional response from the community, with many parents and teachers expressing gratitude for the recognition and care extended to public school students and staff. Mr. Oladapo Obansere, Chairman of the foundation, stated that this event marks the beginning of their commitment to celebrating excellence and supporting communities across Lagos.
