Anambra Clears Security Adviser of Misconduct Allegations

The Anambra State Government has exonerated its security adviser, Mr. Ken Emeakayi, from allegations of sexual misconduct made by human rights lawyer Prof.

Chidi Anselm Odinkalu. Following a thorough investigation by a fact-finding committee, which submitted its report on May 11, 2026, the committee concluded that the claims were false and misleading.

The committee, chaired by Tobechukwu Nweke SAN, included senior lawyers from the state Ministry of Justice and took evidence from various parties, including Mr. Emeakayi and Mr.

Mmasi Nwangwu, whose wife was allegedly involved in the misconduct claims. Prof.

Odinkalu did not respond to the committee's invitation to provide evidence. The Anambra State Government reiterated its commitment to due process and protecting the reputations of public officials against unsubstantiated claims.

In response, Prof. Odinkalu dismissed the committee's findings as an amateur cover-up and maintained that his allegations remain valid.
