NMA Anambra Elects New Executive Committee for 2026

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Anambra State branch held its 2026 annual general meeting, during which a new executive committee was elected. Dr.

Ndubuisi Edwin Arua was elected as the chairman, with Prof. Osita Umeononihu serving as vice chairman.

Other elected officials include Dr. Golib Christian Ikpez as secretary, Dr.

Uzoma Chidi Okerek as financial secretary, Dr. Augustin Chinagorom Anugoh, and Dr.

Faith Kenechi Nnaji as welfare officer and assistant secretary, respectively. Dr.

Arua expressed gratitude to the members for their confidence and support, pledging to build on the achievements of his predecessor and to pursue initiatives aimed at strengthening the association and promoting member welfare. He emphasized the importance of stakeholder engagement and thanked all members for their participation in the electoral process, highlighting the collective commitment to a stronger NMA in Anambra State.
