NYCN Elects New Executives in Anambra State

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) held its congress in Awka, Anambra State, where Comrad Ikc Onuorah was elected as the new chairman, receiving 75 votes against his closest rival, Nonso Nwebili, who garnered 63 votes. The election involved 140 delegates and was described as a major milestone in the council's history, emphasizing a peaceful and credible process.

Other elected officials include Comrad Thankgod Nwafor as deputy chairman, Comrad Uchenna Ejeri as vice chairman South, Comrad Menkiti Olis as vice chairman North, Comrad Akuwenz Chukwunonso as vice chairman Central, Comrad Chimaobi Kingslei Egwu as secretary, and Comrad Chinonso Onyeanusi as public relations officer. Outgoing state chairman Surveyor Obi Emeka Chukwudi commended the delegates for their commitment to a transparent election.

Gov. Charles Soludo and other stakeholders urged the new leadership to uphold unity and focus on youth empowerment.
