New Taraba NMA Chair Dr. Daniel Commits to Member Welfare

Dr Bitrus-Atizwen Daniel has been elected as the new Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association, Taraba State Branch, during the association’s Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference held in Jalingo on Saturday. He succeeded the outgoing chairman, Dr Adamu Kara, who completed his tenure.

In a statement issued by the newly elected Public Relations Officer, Dr Bright Ekhibise, Daniel emphasized his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of members, strengthening engagement with the government, and improving healthcare delivery in Taraba State. He described his election as an honor and a solemn responsibility, pledging to lead with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Daniel acknowledged the challenges facing the medical profession, including increasing workload, shortage of medical personnel, and inadequate health infrastructure, and stated that addressing these issues would require purposeful leadership. He also promised an open-door leadership style and urged collaboration among all members of the association.
