Anambra Police Launches New Operational Monitoring Initiative

The Anambra Police Command has introduced a Strategic Operational Monitoring initiative aimed at enhancing effective policing, accountability, and professionalism. This initiative follows feedback from the Anambra Security Stakeholders’ Interactive Sessions held across the three Senatorial Districts.

The new strategy seeks to eliminate extortion, harassment, and other forms of abuse by police personnel. Under this initiative, the Command’s Operational Control Rooms will oversee patrol formations and checkpoints more closely, with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Team Commanders held accountable for their personnel's activities.
