Anambra Police Enhance Security with Increased Patrols

The Anambra State Police Command, under the spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga, has intensified surveillance patrols across strategic locations in Anambra State as part of efforts to strengthen security and reassure residents about their safety and property. This initiative began on July 20, 2026, and aims to provide real-time situational awareness and support intelligence-led security operations targeting criminal elements.

Ikenga described the exercise as a proactive step to enhance public safety and strengthen rapid response capabilities of security agencies. The command remains committed to its constitutional responsibility despite prevailing weather conditions, emphasizing its resolve to deny criminals opportunities to operate within the state.

The Commissioner of Police assured that the Anambra State Police Command will collaborate with relevant security agencies and stakeholders to sustain proactive security measures, maintain law and order, and strengthen the safety of residents.
