Landslide at Illegal Gold Mine in Angola Claims 28 Lives

A tragic landslide at an illegal gold mine site in Angola's northwestern Bengo Province resulted in the deaths of at least 28 people. The incident occurred on a Saturday, with the provincial civil protection and fire service confirming the fatalities.

Search operations concluded with four individuals rescued from the scene. The victims ranged in age from 16 to 35 years old.
