Oredipe Declares Candidacy for Ogun Governorship 2027

On Tuesday, Otunba Tunji Oredipe, a certified agricultural economist, declared his intention to run for the Ogun State governorship in the 2027 elections, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement took place at an event held at the Eagles Square in Ijebu North East Local Government Area.

Oredipe expressed his desire to build on past leadership efforts in the state, focusing on industrialization, rural development, infrastructure upgrades, youth development, and quality healthcare. He outlined an eight-point agenda aimed at enhancing transportation efficiency, food production, job creation, and mechanized farming.

Oredipe emphasized the importance of leveraging technology and innovation to ensure inclusive growth across sectors, particularly for women, youth, and farmers. He also pledged to improve housing, expand the rail network, and promote the blue economy through sustainable practices.

His governance vision includes prioritizing security, educational reform, and community engagement to ensure quality education and lifelong learning for all children in Ogun State.
