APC Warns Aspirants Against Misusing Tuggar's Name

The Tuggar Campaign Organisation (TCO) issued a warning to candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, advising them to refrain from using the name and popularity of former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, for their 2027 campaign efforts. This statement, signed by Alkasim Abdulkadir, Special Assistant on Media to Ambassador Tuggar, condemned false claims made by individuals associated with M.

A. Abubakar, SAN, suggesting that Tuggar's supporters had abandoned him for another aspirant.

The TCO labeled these claims as politically deceptive and inconsistent with the Electoral Act 2022, emphasizing the need for honest and issue-based campaigns. The organization reaffirmed its unwavering support for Ambassador Tuggar and called for integrity in political ambitions.

Ambassador Tuggar previously contested for the APC governorship ticket in Bauchi State but expressed dissatisfaction with the primary election process, claiming it was not valid.
