Tuggar Campaign Denies Support for APC's Abubakar in Bauchi

The campaign organization of Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar issued a statement on Thursday refuting claims that his supporters had decided to support Mohammed Abubakar, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Bauchi State. Alkasim Abdulkadir, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Tuggar, emphasized that the reports were false and did not represent the Tuggar Campaign Organisation's position.

The statement clarified that individuals who spoke to the press admitted they were unauthorized to represent Tuggar or his supporters. The campaign organization argued that no valid APC governorship primary election took place in Bauchi, asserting that the consensus process lacked necessary consultations and agreements from all aspirants and stakeholders.

The Tuggar Campaign Organisation reaffirmed its commitment to the APC and urged media outlets to verify claims made by unauthorized groups, stressing that only official statements should be considered.
