Tuggar Campaign Denies Support for APC Candidate Abubakar

The campaign organization of Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar has refuted claims that his supporters have shifted allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mohammed Abubakar, for the 2027 governorship election in Bauchi State. In a statement released on Thursday by Alkasim Abdulkadir, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Tuggar, the campaign described these reports as false and not representative of their position.

The statement emphasized that those who spoke to the press were unauthorized to represent Tuggar's supporters and that their views were personal. Furthermore, the Tuggar Campaign Organisation asserted that no valid APC governorship primary election was conducted in Bauchi State, claiming that the supposed consensus lacked broad consultation and voluntary agreement from all aspirants and key stakeholders.

The organization reaffirmed Tuggar's commitment to the APC and urged media outlets to verify claims made by self-appointed groups, stating that Tuggar's support base spans all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State.
