Tuggar Campaign Denies Endorsement of APC Candidate

The Yusuf Maitama Tuggar Campaign Organisation has officially distanced itself from a group that recently expressed support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN). In a statement issued on Thursday by Tuggar’s Special Assistant on Media, Alkasim Abdulkadir, the organization labeled the reports of endorsement as false and unauthorized.

The statement clarified that the individuals who spoke to the media admitted they were not authorized to represent Tuggar or his supporters. The campaign organization asserted that no valid APC governorship primary election occurred in Bauchi State, arguing that the process lacked broad consultations and voluntary agreement from all aspirants and stakeholders, thus failing to meet internal party democracy standards.

They reiterated Tuggar's commitment to the APC and urged the public to differentiate between self-appointed groups and the official stance of the Tuggar Campaign Organisation. The campaign emphasized that Tuggar's support base encompasses all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State.
