Onoh Urges Tinubu to Revise APC Campaign Council

Denge Josef Onoh, the former South-East spokesman of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, condemned the newly released 223-member All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 elections. In a memorandum addressed to President Bola Tinubu, Onoh expressed concerns about the inadequate representation of major APC stakeholders and loyalists from the South-East in the campaign list.

He noted that the 2023 presidential campaign structure was more inclusive, providing opportunities for regional stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers. Onoh criticized the campaign council’s communication structure, stating that the media team lacked experienced political communicators necessary to counter the opposition effectively.

He remarked that only two members of the media team possessed the required strategic depth. Onoh warned that excluding experienced campaigners could create vulnerabilities for the APC, making it easier for opposition parties to gain an advantage.

He urged Tinubu to review the campaign council, cautioning against allowing the selfishness of a few handlers to jeopardize the future of his administration.
