Dalung Critiques APC Campaign Council Integrity Concerns

Solomon Dalung, the former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, expressed significant concerns regarding the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list during an appearance on Arise Television on Tuesday. He warned that the credibility of the upcoming 2027 election would hinge on the integrity of the individuals within the campaign council.

Dalung highlighted that allegations of corruption against some members could erode public confidence in the ruling party. He stated, “If you have a campaign council list made up of these personalities, who have corruption hanging on their necks like the sword of Damocles, then you will question what the future looks like.” Dalung criticized the APC for withdrawing the initial list for review, interpreting this as a lack of preparedness and a “vote of no confidence” in themselves.

He emphasized that his criticisms were based on national interest rather than political motivations, underscoring the importance of the government's capacity to fulfill its campaign promises.
