APC Campaign Council List for 2027 Election Under Review

The Presidency, through Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, confirmed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council list for the 2027 election has not been withdrawn but is undergoing necessary adjustments. This clarification was made during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, following reports of controversy regarding the list's inclusions and exclusions.

Dare stated that the list remains valid and that the campaign structure is still in development, with several subcommittees yet to be constituted. He emphasized that the adjustments to the list do not constitute a wholesale review, but rather necessary changes.

The APC had previously dismissed claims of withdrawal, with the list naming Bola Tinubu as chairman, Kashim Shettima and Nentawe Yilwatda as vice chairmen, Abdul’aziz Yari as Director-General, and Hope Uzodimma as secretary. Additionally, Dare criticized Atiku Abubakar's proposal to restore fuel subsidy, arguing it could exacerbate fiscal challenges.
