APC Chieftain Blames Internal Sabotage for Election Loss

Chief Abiola Ogundokun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has attributed the party's defeat in the August 15 governorship election to alleged internal sabotage by some members. He claimed that these members worked against the party's candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, and insisted that former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola should not be blamed for the loss, as he provided full support during the campaign.

Ogundokun noted that the APC faced significant internal divisions leading up to the election, which hindered their success. He praised Oyetola for his dedication, stating he "worked tirelessly" and maintained a focus on peace and integrity.

Ogundokun warned that the party must address these internal issues to rebuild ahead of future elections and encouraged members to unite around Oyetola, despite feelings of betrayal. He drew parallels with historical political figures who faced similar challenges, reaffirming his support for Oyetola's leadership within the APC.
