APC Refutes PDP's PVC Collection Allegations in Gombe

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has refuted claims made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the state government is collecting Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), bank details, and biometric information from residents through an empowerment programme. APC Publicity Secretary Murtala-Usman Tale issued a statement on Thursday, describing the allegations as baseless and politically motivated, aimed at instilling fear and distrust in government initiatives.

The APC clarified that PVCs are managed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is responsible for voter registration and elections in Nigeria. The party urged the PDP to provide credible evidence if it believes any government agency or official is unlawfully collecting personal information.

The APC emphasized that its administration, led by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, remains focused on infrastructure development and economic empowerment, dismissing the PDP's claims as political rhetoric that distracts from its commitment to the people of Gombe State.
