APC Legal Adviser Congratulates Minister Musawa on Title

Barrister Murtala Aliyu Kankia, the National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), congratulated Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, on her recent conferment with the traditional title of “Mairamar Kasar Hausa I” by the Emir of Daura, Dr Umar Faruk Umar. Kankia characterized this honor as a recognition of Musawa’s increasing profile and her efforts in promoting the cultural heritage of Hausa land.

He expressed his belief that Musawa would eventually hold a significant position representing Hausa land and its heritage. Kankia referenced a previous description of Musawa as the “Queen Amina of our time,” linking her to the legendary Hausa warrior queen, Amina of Zazzau.

He emphasized that the title should be seen as both a personal achievement and a responsibility to the people she represents. Kankia expressed confidence in Musawa’s ability to advance Nigeria’s cultural heritage and enhance the creative and tourism economy's contribution to national development.
