Minister Musawa Receives Mairamar Kasar Hausa I Title

On Wednesday, during the closing ceremony of the Hausa Day celebrations in Daura, Katsina State, Hannatu Musa Musawa, Esq., the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, was honored with the traditional title of “Mairamar Kasar Hausa I” by His Royal Majesty, the Emir of Daura, HRM Dr. Umar Faruk Umar, CON. The title translates to ‘First Daughter of Hausa Land’.

In her remarks, Minister Musawa expressed that the honor is profoundly personal, reflecting her roots, heritage, and pride in Hausa culture. She emphasized the importance of protecting, promoting, and projecting Nigeria’s culture and ensuring its history and values are passed on to future generations.

Musawa conveyed her gratitude to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, and the people of Katsina for their warm reception. She stated that the title is a call to continue celebrating and preserving Hausa heritage, which she views as a living legacy.
