APC Holds Meeting to Resolve Anambra Crisis Ahead of 2027

On Tuesday, the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened a stakeholders’ meeting at Chiben Leisure Resort and Hotel in Awka to resolve ongoing crises within its Anambra State chapter. The meeting, organized by the party’s National Reconciliation Committee and led by Deputy National Chairman (South) Dr.

Benjamin Nwoye, aimed to address issues such as disputed party structures, controversial candidate substitutions, court battles, and alleged expulsions without due process. Nwoye emphasized the necessity of reconciliation for the party's success in the 2027 elections, stating that a divided APC would struggle to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He noted that the meeting was a follow-up to a previous reconciliation session held in Abuja on July 23, and stressed the importance of grassroots acceptance of the peace process. Nwoye warned against actions that could deepen divisions and highlighted the need for unity among ward executives, local government officials, and other party leaders.
