Nwoko Claims APC Promised Automatic Ticket Before Defection

Sen. Ned Nwoko, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his frustration after losing in the party's primary elections.

He stated that he was assured an automatic ticket when he defected to the APC, a promise that influenced his decision to join the party. Nwoko highlighted concerns regarding the party's leadership structure and the need for a broader restructuring to accommodate new entrants.

He alleged that the process changed, leading to a competitive primary instead of the promised automatic ticket. Nwoko claimed he had significant support across multiple wards, winning 98 wards, and criticized the primary outcome as not reflecting the actual support on the ground.

He mentioned that Ifeanyi Okowa, presumably a political figure in the region, had evidence regarding the ward issues he raised.
